We always gather in at Lydell's parents' house on Christmas Eve and the kids act out the nativity, we enjoy a delicious meal together (his mom is THE BEST cook ever!), and all of the grandkids get to open their gift from Grandma Lovell. It is the same thing every year, homemade pajamas, but it is still very exciting each year. Grandma Lovell has 30 grandkids and she makes 30 pairs of pjs every year! She always tries to choose material that she thinks each kid would like, no one ever gets the same pair or the same material. It is such a fun tradition of love.
Our little Shaylee girl got a stomach bug and was throwing up for Christmas Eve, so Grandma Eileen came up and sat with her. I felt so bad for her having to miss out on all of our fun traditions, but she had fun with Grandma and her dog Rosy.
Brendyn was NOT too happy to see Santa.
We go to the town hall every Christmas Eve so the kids can see Santa and get in their orders one more time.
Daycen wanted tools this year, REAL TOOLS, not play tools like he already has.
Ashlyn wanted ponies and pups and a white dolly.

Brendyn was Baby Jesus wrapped in swaddling clothes, laying in the manger.

Cutest Baby Jesus ever!
Ashlyn didn't want to be in the play. She just watched with Mom and Dad.
Eva was pouting when anyone talked to her. She is so dang cute, even when she's mad!

Some of the cousins in their new pjs!
When we got home, we made sure to leave out cookies and milk for Santa and oats and glitter to help his reindeer find our house. Then we tuck the children into bed while the excitment of Christmas fills their thoughts!
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
